Why is the International Day Against Harassment and for Inclusion in the Workplace so important?

This day is essential because it breaks the silence around realities that are still too often minimized, and reminds us that everyone has the right to a safe, respectful, and dignified work environment. It calls us collectively to make inclusion and the fight against harassment not mere intentions, but a concrete responsibility.

2026 edition highlights a very concrete reality: technology is never neutral for the people who experience it daily. In the professional world, artificial intelligence holds immense potential to foster inclusion, but without rigorous ethical oversight, it risks just as much automating biases and making exclusion or harassment invisible. This is where the stakes of AI governance take on their full meaning — ensuring that these new tools don’t simply amount to cold algorithms, but always guarantee trust, transparency, and the fundamental respect of human dignity.
