Will AI Enhance Our Performance… or Reinforce Discrimination?
.

Jérôme Berthier, a computer engineer and artificial intelligence specialist, is deeply committed to a vital cause: digital sovereignty. Convinced that public institutions must not depend on foreign technologies, he founded Deeplink, a 100% Swiss platform embodying this commitment to local control over digital tools. His engagement goes beyond technology. Jérôme is also a passionate advocate for corporate social and environmental responsibility — a commitment reflected in Deeplink becoming the first AI startup to earn the highly demanding BCorp certification. Alongside this, he shares his expertise as a lecturer at HEG, teaching innovation and artificial intelligence, particularly in the public sector, a field he considers strategic for a responsible and sovereign digital transition. On a personal level, he lives out his convictions through active civic involvement, serving on the board of the Empowerment Foundation and on the steering committee of the Fédération romande des consommateurs.

Why is the International Day Against Harassment and for Inclusion in the Workplace so important?

To my mind, this should no longer be a topic of debate in 2026 — and yet, I’m sorry to say, there is still a long way to go. This day matters because it shows those who feel alone in facing workplace harassment or discrimination that a real mobilisation around these issues exists. It is also meant to encourage those who hesitate to get involved, and — I hope — to open the eyes of those who aren’t yet aware, simply because they haven’t been directly affected. As the father of a daughter, I want to help build a workplace where she can thrive, and this day is a step in that direction.
